The world shrinks as the the internet grows, visitors to your site may not be from your country. To be able to get your message across means having a multi-lingual site. There are two ways to do this:

The first is quick and easy, but doesn't always provide the best translation. Using a simple 'plug-in' your site can be translated through Google Translator, it's quick, simple and pretty effective but doesnt always make a lot of sense.

The second method is much better but takes longer to implement, using a component called JoomFish, every menu, every page, every image tag can be duplicated into the language of your choice (well almost any language..), basically what happens is that a duplicate of the site is created step by step and the translated items are then re-input, ensuring a correct translation.
